Description

After the final mile of Trail Canyon, the junction with Dark Canyon (S10P05) is obvious, and at this point we head west along the main drainage. There may be water from a spring available a quarter-mile east of this junction (S10P10). The walking through Dark Canyon is fairly straightforward, with glorious scenery, at every turn. The trail appears circuitous in places as it doubles back on itself several times, as we make our way through the often very windy drainage.

After 7 miles, the trail meets the junction with Woodenshoe Canyon (S10P15). About 1 mile south of the junction, there should be water from a nearby spring available(S10P20). There are several nice camping sites around this area also.
