Possible water source

Description

The route down into the Owl Creek drainage is well marked by cairns, but is quite a steep descent initially. Upon levelling off, the walk is very enjoyable through the deep drainage. An unexpected ‘detour’ to the left is required to circumvent a high pour-off. After this, the valley floor is reached, and water may be available near to the confluence with the main canyon (S15P05). The walking for the next few miles through the canyon is magnificent, with the enormous Neville’s Arch visible on a high cliff to the left (S15P10). This area would make a delightful camping spot for the night.

Owl Canyon eventually opens out as it meets Fish Creek. There may be water available after this confluence (S15P15).
